The Petrino Family Foundation was started by University of Louisville Head Football Coach Bobby Petrino & his family in 2014. Since then, the Petrino Family Foundation has pledged $1 million to fund a level one trauma room at Norton Children's Hospital in downtown Louisville, KY. In addition to Norton Children’s Hospital, the Petrino Family Foundation established the Petrino Family Foundation Scho

larship that funds a Cardinal Covenant Scholarship. The program provides full scholarships to Kentucky’s most economically disadvantaged students—those whose families live at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty line. The Foundation partners with The Louisville Scholar House on the “Head-in-the-Game Mindfulness Program," a program aimed at teaching children how to be mindful about who they are, how they interact with the world and with themselves. The Foundation has also donated to the University of Louisville Spirit Teams and Marching Band in 2015 and 2016. A new foundation with a bright future and a mission to Inspire Action, Create Change, and Improve Lives.
