Jessica Heier Stamm, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing systems engineering, has received the Iman Outstanding Faculty Award for Teaching.

For Heier Stamm, good engineering education starts with understanding students as individuals and connecting what they learn in the classroom to their goals, interests and the real-world problems they hope to solve.

Our students and industry partners came together during the annual Engineering Career Fair Reception to build connections ahead of the All-University Career Fair.

The evening also provided an opportunity to recognize Garmin as the college’s 2026 Company of the Year, celebrating its strong partnership with the college and commitment to our students.

With support from a NSF CAREER award, Davood Pourkargar is developing new technologies to make chemical and energy manufacturing more efficient, resilient and secure against disruptions such as cyberattacks and supply chain challenges.
