Hello Friends and Families of the IWU Engineering Program,
Homecoming 2026 is almost here, and everyone is invited! Whether you’re an alum, student, faculty or staff member, or simply a friend of IWU, we hope you’ll join us on October 23–24 as we celebrate what makes IWU such a special community.
This year’s theme, Celebrate. Connect. Belong., is a reminder that Homecoming is about more than returning to campus. It’s an opportunity to reconnect with friends, make new memories, enjoy time with family, and celebrate the people and experiences that make IWU feel like home.
Kick off the weekend at our Homecoming Food Truck Event!
Join us tomorrow, Friday, October 23, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. on the PPAC (Philippi Performing Arts Center) lawn for a family-friendly evening featuring a variety of food trucks, great food, and opportunities to enjoy fellowship with the IWU community. Bring your family and friends, grab something delicious to eat, and help us kick off an exciting Homecoming weekend!
Throughout the weekend, we look forward to welcoming alumni, students, families, faculty, staff, and friends to campus for opportunities to connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories. For the full homecoming schedule visit: https://alumni.indwes.edu/homecoming/
This Saturday at the IWU Engineering Building, there will be a ribbon-cutting celebration to mark our ABET accreditation and the completion of the Phase II renovation. See below for an order of service. At 1:00PM, we will have a drone show by the Marion Police Department. Sergeant Max Fischer will demonstrate how law enforcement officers use drones. Also on display are a ballistic shield, a helmet, and a rifle broken down into its mechanical parts, and possibly include a K9 demo.
