🌱 Weekend Forecast 🌱

A ridge of high pressure, currently impacting the Southwest U.S., will slide in over the Ken-Tenn Region over the weekend, setting the stage for mainly dry and very toasty conditions not only over the weekend but also into next week.

Thankfully, the humidity will not be oppressive. We can actually thank today’s cold front passage for ushering in the relatively lower humidity. Opposed to it feeling like a “hot, steamy sauna”, it’ll be an “oven-like” heat. BOTTOM-LINE: it’ll be HOT regardless🌡️

Therefore, make sure to stay hydrated and take frequent breaks when working outdoors. A lack of attention to heat safety can easily place your body at risk of heat-related illness.

Heat index values should hover around 100° by time we reach Sunday. This falls below heat advisory criteria (105°-109°), but that doesn’t equate to your body being able to handle neglecting heat safety precautions.

Forecaster: Christian Bryson
