Fraters, Loyal Ladies & Friends:

As we celebrate the birth of our great Nation, let us pause to reflect upon the enduring principles that have shaped America—liberty, justice and equality under the law and the unyielding pursuit of a more perfect Union.

As Prince Hall Scottish Rite Masons, we recognize that freedom has never been self-sustaining. It has been preserved through faith, sacrifice, civic responsibility and the courage of generations who believed that our Nation could continually rise to meet its highest ideals. We honor those who secured our independence, those who defended it throughout our history and those who continue to serve our communities and our country today.

On behalf of the Council of Administration, Officers and Members of the United Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Prince Hall Affiliation, Southern Jurisdiction, USA, Inc., we extend our heartfelt wishes for a safe and meaningful Independence Day to you and your families.

May we continue to exemplify the principles of our Rite by strengthening our communities, promoting unity over division and remaining steadfast in our commitment to Faith, Charity, Justice and Tolerance.

May God continue to bless each of you, our Fraternity and the United States of America.

Fraternally,

Dr. Corey D. Hawkins, Sr., 33°
Sovereign Grand Commander

Today, we commemorate not only Independence Day, but a defining milestone in our Nation’s history—the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This historic occasion invites us to celebrate the birth of the United States while reflecting upon the enduring principles of liberty, justice, equality and self-government that have guided our Republic for two and a half centuries.

As Prince Hall Scottish Rite Masons, we recognize that the promise of America has always been greater than any single generation. It is a continuing pursuit of “a more perfect Union,” strengthened by the courage, sacrifice and unwavering faith of those who have defended our freedoms and expanded the blessings of liberty to all people. We pay tribute to our Founding Fathers, the men and women who have served in our Armed Forces, first responders, public servants and the countless citizens whose dedication has preserved our constitutional Republic.

We are also especially mindful of the legacy of Prince Hall, whose life embodied the highest ideals of patriotism, perseverance and human dignity. Though denied many of the rights proclaimed in 1776, he remained steadfast in his belief that the principles of freedom and equality belonged to all Americans. His example continues to inspire our work as builders of character, servants of humanity and defenders of justice.

As members of the United Supreme Council, let us recommit ourselves to the timeless virtues of our Rite: Health, Power, Justice and Tolerance. May we continue to strengthen our communities, encourage responsible civic engagement and labor together in the spirit of unity, brotherly love and service to humanity.

On behalf of the Council of Administration, Officers and Members of the United Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Prince Hall Affiliation, Southern Jurisdiction, USA, Inc., we extend our warmest wishes for a joyful, safe and meaningful Independence Day.

As we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary, may we honor the sacrifices of the past by embracing our shared responsibility to build an even brighter future for generations to come.

May God continue to bless our Fraternity, our communities and the United States of America. Happy Independence Day, and congratulations to our Nation on 250 years of freedom and progress.

Fraternally,

Dr. Corey D. Hawkins, Sr., 33°

The 5th Annual Sovereign Grand Commanders’ Summit stands as a testament to the enduring strength of our Brotherhood and our shared commitment to the continued advancement of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Prince Hall Affiliation.

As Sovereign Grand Commanders gather in a spirit of unity, cooperation and mutual respect, we reaffirm the principles of Masonic regularity that bind our Supreme Councils together. Through open dialogue, fellowship and the exchange of ideas, we strengthen the ties that unite us while preserving the traditions, practices and integrity of our Rite.

The Summit is more than a meeting—it is an investment in the future of the Scottish Rite in America. By working collectively, we ensure the continued propagation of the Scottish Rite, developing informed leaders, expanding our charitable impact and inspiring the next generation of Brethren to embrace the light, lessons and labor of our beloved Order.

May the bonds forged during this Summit continue to strengthen our jurisdictions, elevate our mission and demonstrate that when we labor together in harmony, the Scottish Rite flourishes for generations to come.

Unity. Cooperation. Regularity. Propagation.

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors and father figures throughout our United Supreme Council family.

Today, we honor the men who have accepted the sacred responsibility of fatherhood—those who lead not merely by their words, but by their examples. A father’s greatest legacy is not measured by what he leaves behind, but by the values he instills: faith, integrity, discipline, compassion and an unwavering commitment to family and community.

As Scottish Rite Masons, we recognize that the virtues we seek to perfect within our Craft are the same virtues that strengthen our homes. The lessons of patience, wisdom, justice, and brotherly love taught within our Fraternity are reflected in the guidance, protection and sacrifice demonstrated by devoted fathers every day.

We especially acknowledge those fathers who continue to serve as beacons of strength during times of challenge and those who carry the cherished memories of children who are no longer physically present but forever remain in their hearts.

May this Father’s Day be a time of reflection, appreciation and joy. May the Great Architect of the Universe continue to bless all fathers with wisdom, health, and the strength to leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

Fraters:

On this sacred occasion of Juneteenth, we pause as a Fraternity and as a people to commemorate the announcement of freedom to the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865. This day stands as a powerful reminder that the journey from bo***ge to freedom was not merely a moment in history, but the beginning of an enduring struggle to secure justice, dignity, equality and opportunity for all.

As Prince Hall Masons and Scottish Rite Masons, we are heirs to a legacy of men who transformed adversity into achievement and who understood that true freedom requires knowledge, civic engagement, moral courage and an unwavering commitment to the betterment of humanity. The same spirit that sustained our forefathers through oppression calls upon us today to be vigilant guardians of liberty, truth and brotherly love.

Juneteenth is both a celebration and a charge. It celebrates the resilience, excellence, and contributions of African Americans whose labor and sacrifice helped build this nation. It also charges us to continue the work of enlightenment—educating our communities, protecting our institutions, mentoring future generations and ensuring that the rights won through sacrifice are never diminished through complacency.

May we honor those who came before us not only through remembrance, but through action. Let our deeds reflect the highest ideals of our Rite, and let the United Supreme Council continue to stand as a beacon of leadership, scholarship, service and progress.

On behalf of the leadership of the United Supreme Council - Southern Jurisdiction, we wish each of you and your families a meaningful and reflective Juneteenth.

“The work of freedom is never complete; it is entrusted to each generation to carry it forward.”

Fraternally and sincerely,

Corey D. Hawkins, Sr., 33°
Sovereign Grand Commander
