St. Patrick's Seminary & University, Menlo Park, California Governance: Most Rev. Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco and Very Rev. Daniel Donohoo, OP - Rector

St Patrick's Seminary & University has been providing leadership in the formation of Roman Catholic priests since 1898. Currently, we have over 110 seminarians from 16 dioceses on a beautiful 40-acre campus in Menlo Park, California--35 miles south of San Francisco. In the heart of Silicon Valley, we are strategically located to serve the western states. We have a very distinguished program linking the initial and continuing formation of Roman Catholic priests in an international and multi-cultural environment reflective of the populations in the West Coast communities. Most of our faculty members possess doctorates and advanced degrees and we are accredited by both the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the American Theological Society ( ATS). In 1991, the Vatican recognized us as a Pontifical Seminary, acknowledging the quality of our faculty and our formation program. St. Patrick's Seminary offers the Pontifical STB degree as permitted by the Vatican in addition to the Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Theology. Mission: St. Patrick's Seminary & University is a Catholic educational community that forms courageous men of reflection and action who live joyous lives as priests.

St Agnes of Montepulciano pray that our lives can be filled with piety, humility, and charity. Amen. https://ucatholic.com/saints/agnes-of-montepulciano/

Saint Agnes of Montepulciano was made abbess of the Dominican Order at Proceno at only 15. St. Agnes was noted for her visions. She held the infant Christ in her arms and received Holy Communion from an angel. She experienced levitations and she performed miracles for the faithful of the region.

St. Hunna, in this time of need, pray that we have the humbleness and strength to reach out and help those less fortunate than ourselves. Let us follow your wonderful example of Christian charity. https://ucatholic.com/saints/hunna/

Called “the Holy Washerwoman,” a noblewoman who devoted herself to the poor of Strasbourg, France. The daughter of a duke and wife of Huno of Hunnaweyer, she even washed the poor, hence her name. Saint Hunna was canonized in 1520 by Pope Leo X.

Saint Hugh of Grenoble (1052-1132) served as a bishop in France for 52 years. In conflicts between Church and state he was an unflinching defender of the Church. He fearlessly supported the papacy. St. Hugh may be best known as patron and benefactor of St. Bruno, founder of the Carthusian Order.

"Dear brothers and sisters, from this place that tells of Peter’s rock-solid faith, I would like this evening to entrust all of you to the Lord, through the intercession of Mary, Health of the People and Star of the stormy Sea. From this colonnade that embraces Rome and the whole world, may God’s blessing come down upon you as a consoling embrace. Lord, may you bless the world, give health to our bodies and comfort our hearts. You ask us not to be afraid. Yet our faith is weak and we are fearful. But you, Lord, will not leave us at the mercy of the storm. Tell us again: ‘Do not be afraid’ (Mt 28:5). And we, together with Peter, ‘cast all our anxieties onto you, for you care about us’ (cf. 1Pet 5:7).” - Pope Francis (Photos/Vatican Media)

St. Margaret Clitherow, you gave up your life protecting priests in Protestant England. Please pray for our clergy as they shepherd Christ’s flock through these perilous times. Please, pray for us! https://ucatholic.com/saints/margaret-clitherow/

Saint Margaret Clitherow was born in Middleton, England, in 1555, of protestant parents. She converted to the Catholic Church. Her zeal led her to harbor fugitive priests, for which she was arrested and imprisoned by hostile authorities. Finally, she was condemned to be pressed to death. She was str...

"Be it done to me according to thy word." With Mary's fiat, creation was changed forever. Today, we celebrate Solemnity Of The Annunciation of The Lord, the day when the great mystery of the Incarnation occurred. https://ucatholic.com/saints/annunciation-of-the-lord/

Solemnity Of The Annunciation of The Lord. The central focus of this Solemnity is the Incarnation: God has become one of us. From all eternity God had decided that the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity should become human.

Our Holy Father has asked all Catholics to join him in saying the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary at 1pm today (that is 9pm Rome time), using the following intention (said before the Rosary):

Mary — Mother of God, and Health of the Sick, to whom we direct the Rosary, under the loving gaze of St. Joseph, Protector of the Holy Family, and our families — brings us to the luminous and transfigured Face of Christ and his Heart.
