Today is International Women's Day! This day is dedicated to celebrating women's achievements, raising awareness against bias. and taking action for equality. This year, the theme is #ChoosetoChallenge. Today, let's reflect on how each of us challenges gender inequality, how we choose to celebrate women's achievements and how we all can create a more inclusive world. And, follow along as NPC continues to highlight Panhellenic women and their incredible accomplishments today and all month long. #IWD2021 #WHM21

Our Story

The Northern Virginia Alumnae Panhellenic Association (NVAPA) promotes intra-sorority friendship and collaboration; publicizes the high ideals, purpose and accomplishments of the sorority system; stimulates the interest and participation of alumnae members of NPC sororities; supports the philanthropic endeavors of nearby college Panhellenic and furthers interest in community service, philanthropic efforts and higher education through educational programming and social activities. Founded in 1955 we have promoted the ideals, mission, and vision of the National Panhellenic Conference through our outstanding programs, scholarship awards, recognition of alumnae and community service.

NVAPA supports the philanthropic endeavors of our members as well as Circle of Sisterhood and Ellie’s Hats. We fundraise to provide scholarships to undergraduate women attending colleges and universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

We welcome members of National Panhellenic Conference sororities to join us in our activities. If you are new to the area, please contact us to locate and alumnae chapter of your sorority in the Northern Virginia/Washington, DC area. If there is not an alumnae chater in the area, please contact us. We welcome individual members to join our wonderful association! NVAPA meets monthly from September to May in locations throughout the Northern Virginia area. We currently have representation from 22 of the 26 National Panhellenic Conference member organizations!

We look forward to meeting you!
