FIUPD has been made aware of scam calls targeting members of the FIU community. Individuals may falsely claim to be law enforcement officers and request personal or financial information.

⚠️ Remember:
🔹 FIUPD will NEVER ask for banking information, passwords, PIN numbers, Social Security numbers, gift cards, wire transfers, or electronic payments over the phone, by text, or via email.
🔹 Be cautious of caller ID spoofing—scammers can make calls appear to come from legitimate phone numbers.
🔹 If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and verify the caller by contacting FIUPD directly through official channels.
🔹 Never click suspicious links or share personal information with unknown callers.

If you believe you may have been targeted by a scam, report it to FIUPD immediately.
