Please join us in welcoming the newest members of the FIU Police Department family! 👮‍♂️👮‍♀️ our new officers took the oath of office, officially beginning their journey of serving and protecting the FIU community. The oath is more than words, it represents a commitment to integrity, professionalism, courage, and service. FIUPD has been made aware of scam calls targeting members of the FIU community. Individuals may falsely claim to be law enforcement officers and request personal or financial information.

⚠️ Remember:
🔹 FIUPD will NEVER ask for banking information, passwords, PIN numbers, Social Security numbers, gift cards, wire transfers, or electronic payments over the phone, by text, or via email.
🔹 Be cautious of caller ID spoofing—scammers can make calls appear to come from legitimate phone numbers.
🔹 If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately and verify the caller by contacting FIUPD directly through official channels.
🔹 Never click suspicious links or share personal information with unknown callers.

If you believe you may have been targeted by a scam, report it to FIUPD immediately.

This Memorial Day, we honor and remember the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. 🇺🇸

Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication protect the freedoms we cherish every day. As public servants, we are reminded of the values we share; service, integrity, sacrifice, and commitment to our communities.

Today, we pause to reflect, remember the fallen, support their families, and continue serving with honor in all that we do.
