May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we at Penn State Extension know that farmers are under extreme stress due to the various factors affecting agriculture. It is important to encourage those who are struggling to reach out for help. The Farm Stress Team has compiled a list of resources for farmers and farm families who may be struggling:
https://extension.psu.edu/resources-to-support-mental-and-financial-well-being-in-agriculture
Included in that resource is the Agri Stress Helpline (call or text at 833-897-2474). Please reach out if you need to talk to someone who understands the unique challenges associated with farming.

Join us for "Poultry Processing 101", a hands-on workshop that takes participants from coop to cooking. Attendees will safely and humanely handle live chickens, process the carcasses, and prepare birds for cooking under the guidance of experts in poultry nutrition, welfare, harvesting, and meat processing. Participants must be 18 or older and wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. To protect both our flock and yours from HPAI, please shower and wear clean clothes before the workshop if you have been tending birds at home, and again before returning to your own flock after the event.
