Last weekend, Sigma Upsilon Lambda Chapter - Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., completed our 2026 Scholarship presentation!

Congratulations to the FIVE 2026 graduating seniors who are the recipients of scholarships from the Green Bay Does Derby!

This scholarship fundraiser was hosted by the three service organizations here in NE Wisconsin: Sul Alphas, Northeast Wisconsin Alumnae Chapter-Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and Nu Kappa Kappa Ques in conjunction with the Northwest Wisconsin Omegas Community Uplift Foundation. Each of these organizations are committed to community service, advocacy and youth development!

Sul Alphas and our collegiate chapter, Eta Pi–
UW-Oshkosh of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc,
partnered with the League of Women Voters of Appleton-Fox Cities to support voter registration efforts at today’s Juneteenth event in Appleton, Wisconsin. Our VP Timber Smith participated and invite attendees to continue to fight for voters rights!

This collaboration reflects Alpha Phi Alpha’s longstanding national program, “A Voteless People is a Hopeless People” (VPHP), originally launched in the 1930s. At a time when many African Americans had the legal right to vote but faced barriers such as poll taxes, intimidation, and limited access to voter education, the initiative focused on empowering communities through education and registration. For more than 65 years, voter engagement has remained a cornerstone of this impactful outreach.
