🐾 There's nothing quite like a football weekend in Starkville! 🏈

One of MS State's favorite game-day traditions is the Dawg Walk, when fans line The Junction to cheer on the players, coaches, and Bully as they make their way to Davis Wade Stadium. With their cowbells ringing, it's a chance for the Bulldog faithful to send the team into kickoff with plenty of maroon-and-white spirit!

It's just one of the traditions that makes game day at MS State special!

🌿 Eckie’s Pond has been a part of the Mississippi State landscape for more than a century.

Nestled along the edge of campus, the pond dates back to the 1890s, when it was created as a horticulture demonstration project and named for professor A.B. “Eckie” McKay.

Today, it’s one of MS State’s quiet treasures, a favorite spot to enjoy the water, wildlife and a slower moment on campus. ❤️🐾

🎓 From community college student to higher education leader, Dr. Mark Jimerson knows the difference encouragement and opportunity can make.

As Assistant Director of Online Admissions and Enrollment at MS State Online, Mark helps students find their path at Mississippi State. He credits mentors who challenged him, trusted him with opportunities, and saw his potential, and he looks for opportunities to pay that forward with others.

That commitment was recently recognized by his alma mater, Hinds Community College, which named Mark its 2026 Young Alumnus of the Year. A 2013 Hinds graduate and former Hinds Connection leader, Mark has built his career around expanding access to higher education and helping students move toward their goals.

And one of his favorite Bulldog memories? His first game in Davis Wade Stadium in 2017 against Alabama. “Whew, that game had me stressed, but Davis Wade was definitely ROCKING!” 🏈😂
