The brothers of the Eta Delta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. recently spoke with KTVE 8 News about our purchase of the historic Orange Street Firehouse, which will become an educational and community resource.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the City of Monroe and the Monroe City Council for their support. We also thank former Monroe City Councilwoman Kema Dawson for her historic work to establish the nation’s first Divine Nine Cultural District.

We are proud to become the first Divine Nine organization to own property within the district.
