What does integrity look like from the bench? ๐โ๏ธ
Judge Charles Elliott, circuit judge and drug court judge in Morgan County, spoke to our business ethics seminar about the lines you have to draw before you're ever tested. "Decide in advance which lines you will not cross," he told students, whatever it costs you in grades, jobs, or approval.
He talked about due process and fairness, about owning and correcting your own mistakes, and about treating every person with dignity, including those who are defined by their worst moment (Matthew 25). He said faith isn't a "raincoat" you leave at the door when you go to work. It should shape everything you do.
Thank you, Judge Elliott, for a powerful reminder that character is always on trial.
