Welcome to Saint Dominic to our new seminarian, Garrett Peters! Please read his greeting below!
Hello St. Dominic parish! I'm Garrett Peters, your new pastoral-year seminarian. I’m excited to learn and serve here at St. Dominic this year. I'm 27 years old, and this is my fourth year of seminary. Lord willing, I'll be ordained a priest of Jesus Christ in late spring of 2029. I was born in Michigan but grew up in Tallahassee, so the Florida Panhandle is my home. I grew up as a Methodist, and I entered the Catholic Church in 2018 while I was at Florida State University, where I studied philosophy. Before entering seminary, I also earned a master's degree in theology at the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC. For fun, I study and write on philosophy and theology (so please ask me your questions), and I play the guitar, especially classic rock n roll. Thank you for welcoming me to my new parish family. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, join our parish mission, and journey with y’all toward heaven. Please be assured of my prayers for y’all, and as always, please pray for me and my brother seminarians.
