I am so incredibly proud of this young man!
He first came to shadow me while he was still in high school, exploring whether a future in dentistry might be right for him. His wonderful mother was a patient of mine, and over the course of several months, we spent many enjoyable days together talking about life, education, and dentistry. While I did my best to share what I could, it was clear even then that he was someone truly special.
Over the years, he has continued to stop by for visits, and we have stayed in touch. It has been incredibly rewarding to watch his journey and witness his growth from a curious high school student into an accomplished young professional.
Since those days, he has gone on to graduate as the number one student in his high school class, the number one student in his college class, and now the number one graduate from his dental school class. What an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to his talent, work ethic, and character.
Congratulations, Dr. Smeraldi! I know you have many proud supporters and admirers, but from afar, I count myself among your biggest fans. Watching your journey unfold has been an absolute privilege, and I couldn’t be more proud of all that you have achieved. I am also excited to see what comes next as you continue on to an endodontic residency. I have no doubt you will excel in that field, and I can’t wait for the opportunity to work with you someday.
Your future is incredibly bright, and I look forward to celebrating the many successes that undoubtedly lie ahead. ❤️
