It’s the first of June, and we are ready to, “Feed the Movement!”

This week, we are Wearing Pink, Spending Green, and Buying Black by intentional spending with Black-owned restaurants, cafes, bakeries, food trucks, and beverage brands.

Our collective goal is $8 million this month, and it starts with just $19.08. That’s one delicious meal, one specialty coffee, or one sweet treat. Let’s help “Build Our Economic Wealth,” one bite (or sip!) at a time.

Scholarship Recipient Spotlight 💗💚🎓

Please join us in congratulating Rella Crouell, a graduating senior of Craven Early College High School and Craven Community College, on being selected as a recipient of the 2026 Theta Beta Omega Community & Academic Scholarship.

Rella's dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and service has distinguished her as an outstanding student and a deserving scholarship recipient.

This fall, she will continue her educational journey at North Carolina A&T State University, where we know she will accomplish great things.

The ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Theta Beta Omega Chapter were out bright and early this morning serving refreshments and spreading JOY at the 5th Annual NB Autism Community 5K Run & Walk in New Bern!!

From donuts to bananas to fresh oranges, TBO came ready to fuel every runner and walker with a snack AND a smile! 😄✨

We are proud to stand in support of Autism Awareness & Acceptance and to show our community that Theta Beta Omega is always here to serve with love. 💕💚

On April 24, 2026, during the New Bern High School Senior Picnic, Shineka Grice presented a donation on behalf of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® ,Theta Beta Omega Chapter to the NBHS BEARS PTO in support of Teacher Appreciation Week (May 4th–8th)! 🎉

This gift will help celebrate and show appreciation to 115 NBHS staff members. Theta Beta Omega is honored to support and celebrate the incredible educators who shape our young students and future leaders every single day!! 💚🩷
