Members of the Columbia community joined more than 300 physicians, scientists, patients, and advocates from across the country for the annual Rally for Medical Research on Capitol Hill. The Columbia delegation met with members of the New York and New Jersey congressional delegations to highlight the importance of sustained federal investment in the National Institutes of Health and biomedical research that advances scientific discovery and improves health.

Members of the CUIMC community joined hundreds of physicians, scientists, and patients to meet legislators on Capitol Hill and advocate for medical research at the annual Rally for Medical Research.

On July 30, CUIMC welcomed community and institutional partners for Project Medical Education (PME), an immersive daylong experience highlighting the research, education, patient care and community engagement taking place across the medical center.

Hosted by the Office of Academic and Community Partnerships and the Office of Government Affairs, PME gave participants an opportunity to connect directly with CUIMC faculty and leaders and experience the breadth of our work firsthand.

Thank you to everyone who made this year’s program a success. We look forward to PME 2027!

SUMMER FEMINIST FILM SERIES IN UPPER MANHATTAN!
Don’t miss the first screening of Undocumented Women's Fund annual Summer Feminist Film Series! ☀️🎬An uptown staple, the film series is celebrating its 6th year with some very exciting films. Join us for the screening and a conversation on the film’s relevance to UWF’s work and our present political moment.

We are starting with Norita (2023), a film about the founder of Mothers of Plaza de Mayo whose search for her forcibly disappeared son leads to the defeat of a military dictatorship and inspires a new generation of women to fight for their freedoms. For this film, we have the fortune to partner with Mami Chula Social Club and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung.

The film will be shown in Spanish with English Subtitles.

Nuestro Ciclo de Cine, que se ha vuelto ya un clásico en el Alto Manhattan, celebra su sexto año con tres increíbles documentales . Acompáñanos en la proyección y, al finalizar, quédate para una charla sobre la relevancia del documental para el trabajo del UWF y el momento político actual.
