NYU's Office of the Dean for Science is thrilled to support Soapbox Science, a public outreach platform for promoting women and non-binary scientists and the science they do. On August 17th, Soapbox Science will transform Central Park into an arena for public learning and scientific debate.
They are seeking 12 female NYC-based researchers in all areas of STEM, from PhD students to Professors, to take part in this grassroots science outreach project and communicate their research to the public.
Why should you apply to be a Soapbox Science speaker?
⪼ Help improve the visibility of underrepresented genders in science
⪼ Make valuable connections with other scientists
⪼ Engage with people who might not otherwise encounter science
⪼ Publicize your work through blogs and other media opportunities
Are you interested in applying? The deadline is February 29th. More information and how to register is here: http://soapboxscience.org/apply-to-speak-at-soapbox-science-2024/
