On Day Three of our English Language and Leadership Retreat in Buenos Aires, Argentina, we discussed goals—and how to make them more specific and actionable.

During a press conference, participants presented their goals and action steps for the first week, the first month and the first three months. The audience then asked difficult questions: How realistic were their goals? How challenging would they be to achieve?

I listened for the quality and accuracy of their content, as well as their composure under pressure.

In the end, we discovered that we can do more—and do it more quickly than we think. It was a great day for everyone.

We also learned how to deal with difficult—and sometimes unfair—questions without losing our cool: staying calm and focusing on the content, not on the person asking the question.

Staying calm under pressure isn’t a personality trait—it’s a skill we can practise.

On Day 2, we faced criticism, difficult situations, and bad news through realistic scenarios. We rehearsed useful phrases, tested different responses, and learned how to pause before reacting.

We may not respond perfectly in real life—but with practice, we can respond better. Calmly. Clearly. Intentionally.

On the final day of our retreat, we talked about goals—and the stories we tell ourselves about how long they should take.

Does it really need another six months? Another year? Do we genuinely need to feel completely ready?

Or could we move faster?

Sometimes the biggest obstacle isn’t time, ability, or opportunity. It’s simply the belief that we have to wait.

So ask yourself: What is stopping me from taking the first real step today?

Your goal may be closer than you think. 🚀

Great teaching today is about more than content. 🌍

Emotional intelligence. Critical thinking. Social skills.

These aren’t “extras” — they’re essential skills our students need to communicate, collaborate, think independently, and succeed in today’s world.

Another fantastic teacher training with educators ready to rethink what the modern classroom should look like. 🔥📚

Your students don’t lose bands because they don’t know the format. They lose them because nobody taught them what the examiner is actually rewarding.

This weekend’s online IELTS MasterClass will show teachers how to:

• Uncover the hidden barriers to progress
