Fraternity Communication

Fraternity Communication Fraternity Communication is a blog that promotes a positive image of fraternity and sorority life. "No matter the Letter, we're all Greek together."

The aim of this blog is to promote positive images of fraternities and sororities. If you are looking to read about hazing, or alcohol and/or sexual abuse within the Greek community, please look elsewhere. There are many blogs and other news sources covering these negative aspects of fraternity and sorority life. Like any group, the negative acts of a few can sometimes affect the positive work of

the majority. Fraternity and sorority life has a great deal to offer its members and the college/university and local community. This blog will showcase these issues and serve as a resource to the overall Greek community and its college/university and business related affiliates. If you would like to see your organization or business featured on this blog, please feel free to contact the writer. Please also feel free to leave comments and recommend topics you would like to see covered on this blog.

The Divine Nine is answering the call to serve.

Join the NPHC Virtual Blood Drive in support of Sickle Cell Awareness as we work toward a goal of 300 pints of blood to help save lives and strengthen our communities.

Because Sickle Cell disproportionately impacts the African American community, this mission is personal. We’re calling on all councils, their family, and friends to “Give Back by Giving Blood” by donating at your local blood center during the week of June 19 — Shine the Light on Sickle Cell Day.

Together, our service can make a lifesaving impact.

Congratulations to Brother Victor Glover ahead of the historic launch of Artemis II on April 1st. As part of NASA’s first crewed lunar mission in over 50 years, he continues to break barriers in space exploration, STEM, aerospace leadership, and service beyond Earth! 🚀 Our prayers for a safe launch and return.

To the women turning cultura into leadership, service into impact, and sisterhood into legacy. 🌹

As daughters and granddaughters of resilience, and leaders in our own right, we honor the women who pushed doors open so we can walk through them today.

This rare photograph captures the only known image of the “Black Cats,” the men of Beta Kappa Sigma at Wilberforce University. Known informally as the “Black Cat Club,” the group existed to foster camaraderie and good times among its members. They would gather in informal spaces—often in the attic room of a member's home—where friendship, laughter, and shared experience defined their bond.

Although never officially recognized or incorporated by the university, the Black Cat Club played a pivotal role in student life at Wilberforce during its time. It served as a meaningful social outlet in an era when formal organizations were limited, offering a space for self-expression and brotherhood outside institutional structures.

Importantly, this club laid the groundwork for future student organizations. As an early, unofficial precursor to Greek life on campus, the Black Cats helped shape the cultural and social legacy that later fraternities would build upon at Wilberforce University.

During this spring rush, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, also known as ADPi, recruited the largest new member class out of any Ohio State Greek life organization.

The founding sorority chapter returned to the university in January, creating more opportunities for students seeking to join the Panhellenic community at the university, welcoming 131 new members, according to the Office of Student Life website.

Mali Robinson, a new member in ADPI and third-year in marketing, said the new chapter will set the tone for what ADPi will look like at the university, compared to other established sororities’ more well-known traditions and reputations.
