Last month, we had the pleasure of hosting the 2025/26 CUREFIS Real Estate Case Competition.
We welcomed six teams from universities across the UK, including Bayes Business School, Cambridge University, UCL, Warwick and Westminster.
Each team was tasked with stepping into the role of a value-add real estate private equity investor. The case centred on an office repositioning opportunity in Oslo, with participants required to submit an Investment Committee memorandum, pro-forma, sensitivity analyses, and a waterfall distribution structure. The evening concluded with a formal networking dinner.
We are pleased to announce that the CUREFIS team (Sam Sloan, Suprita Peri and Ao Lin Shen) achieved 1st place, with WRECS and UCL Real Estate Society placing 2nd and 3rd respectively. Congratulations to all attendees - we were thoroughly impressed by the high calibre of financial analysis, market research, and final presentations.
We extend our thanks to our panel of judges, Zayn Khamisa and Charlotte Boyd, with special thanks to Emma Cooke for designing such a challenging and engaging case. Thank you also to the CUREFIS team and The Developers Club for helping make this event possible.
Finally, the event marked a farewell to our Presidents Myles and Blake whose leadership and dedication have played a huge role in developing the society. Thank you both for your contributions.
We’re excited to welcome Olivia and Rafay as the incoming leadership for the coming academic year.
