Harlem showed up with purpose.

Last week, D9 Harlem Votes™ brought community, leadership, and accountability into the same room for “Come See About Us!” featuring NYC Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture.

This was more than a Town Hall. It was a reminder that Harlem’s voice matters, our concerns deserve action, and our community will continue to organize, engage, and lead.

Thank you to our co-sponsor CORE, our culinary sponsor Chef Cisse, and to every resident, volunteer, partner organization, D9 Harlem Votes™ steering committee member, and media outlet who helped make this moment possible.

The work continues. The conversations continue. And D9 Harlem Votes™ is just getting started.

The evening will begin with a Community Resource Fair at 4:00 PM, followed by the Town Hall at 6:00 PM.

✨ Huge thank you to Sisters In Purple for inviting D9 Harlem Votes and our Harlem D9 chapters to your 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Celebration. The unity and love for our community was powerful.

To help feed 300+ people, provide clothes, haircuts, and care packages — and see every meal go to someone in need, including residents on Randall’s Island — was truly a blessing. 🙏🏾💛

💜 Honored to serve alongside the Sisters In Purple family as we continue supporting survivors of domestic violence, food insecurity, and community violence. Showing up for Harlem together just hits different. 🤝🏾💛
