For more than 50 years, Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) have shared a partnership dedicated to strengthening local healthcare, expanding educational opportunities, and building a sustainable workforce for the community. The success of this collaboration is evidenced by the number of long-tenured LMHS employees who have earned a degree or credentials from COTC. Joan Crumrine, APRN-CNP, of Licking Memorial Family Practice – East, is a COTC graduate who has served LMHS for 40 years. She began her career with LMHS in 1986 and earned her Associate in Nursing degree from COTC. Joan received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Franklin University and Master of Science Degree in Nursing from Wright State University College of Nursing and Health in Dayton, Ohio. She lives in Newark with her husband, Jeff, and they have three children: Claudia, Anna, and Colin. Joan enjoys golf, pickleball, and traveling. She has received recognition throughout the years from patients and coworkers regarding her excellent care, and has been invited to LMHS Dining with the Stars events on numerous occasions.

For more than 50 years, Licking Memorial Health Systems (LMHS) and Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) have shared a partnership dedicated to strengthening local healthcare, expanding educational opportunities, and building a sustainable workforce for the community. The success of this collaboration is evidenced by the number of long-tenured LMHS employees who have earned a degree or credentials from COTC. Linda Crothers-Hurst is a COTC graduate who has served at LMHS for 50 years. After graduating from COTC in 1975, Linda began her career at LMHS as a med-surg nurse in 1976. In 1978, she transitioned to the Emergency Department. During her 28-year tenure caring for patients in the ED, she received the LMHS Cares award and the Clarissa Ann Howard Nursing Award for Clinical Excellence. For the past 20 years, Linda has served the Process Improvement Department by monitoring and reviewing patient care to ensure delivery of the highest-quality treatments. In 2022, Linda was recognized as an LMHS MVP for her dedication to supporting LMHS and the community. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and attending sporting events for her five grandsons.
