We're hiring! Our Drainage Program is seeking an Environmental Program Manager II to work with landowners, tax ditch organizations and federal, state and local agencies to improve drainage, stormwater management and water quality in Delaware. This position will be a part of an integral team with a variety of responsibilities in planning, budget development, staff management, and implementation of projects and programs.

A panel of three experts, including DESG coastal hazards specialist Danielle Swallow, spent time last week giving practical tips on how to be safe in severe weather. (via Coastal Point newspaper)

Swallow reminded residents that Delaware is the lowest-lying state in the nation, and beginning to see more tornadoes and more extreme temperatures.

When hurricane season rolls in next week, most people who live along the coast won’t notice.
