As the founding chapter, we are committed to service, leadership, and building genuine sisterhood rooted in excellence and integrity. was founded on 19 June 24 to create a space where women could lead, serve, and grow together while honoring the unique experiences of military and military-connected women. Our organization exists because sisterhood matters. And women deserve spaces and sisterhoods where their service, leadership, and lived experiences are understood and respected.

This past weekend Sorors Lauren Branham, Tamara Smith-Thomas, and MyEsha Roane of Alpha Chapter, Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc., had the privilege of volunteering in support of a wonderful cause.

Our sorors proudly supported the Social Butterflies Foundation’s 2026 Butterfly Walk for Lupus & Fibromyalgia. We were honored to stand alongside members of the community in raising awareness, showing support, and helping make a difference.

Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. remains committed to service, sisterhood, transparency, and reliability, and we are grateful for opportunities to put those values into action.

Today, we celebrate 250 years of American independence and honor the courage, sacrifice, and vision of those who helped shape our nation.

As we gather with family and friends, let us also remember the generations of service members, veterans, and military families who have defended the freedoms we enjoy today. Their dedication and selfless service continue to inspire us and strengthen our communities.

Today, on National PTSD Awareness Day, Alpha Chapter stands in support of the service members, veterans, military families, and all individuals whose lives have been impacted by Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

PTSD is not a sign of weakness. It is a response to trauma, and no one should have to face that journey alone.

Today, we honor the courage it takes to seek help, the resilience it takes to keep moving forward, and the strength found in supporting one another.

If you or someone you know is struggling, know that reaching out is a sign of strength. Healing is possible, and every story matters.

Together, we can help break the stigma through compassion, understanding, and support.

Between the laughter, conversations, encouragement, and memories made, today was a reminder that sisterhood is one of our greatest gifts. Moments like these remind us that the heart of our organization isn’t found in a title or position. It’s found in the connections we build, the support we give, and the women who become family along the way.

Today, we honor Juneteenth. ❤️🖤💚

Juneteenth marks June 19, 1865, the day enslaved Black Americans in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

It is a day of remembrance, reflection, resilience, and celebration of Black history, culture, and progress. It reminds us of the strength of those who came before us and the importance of continuing to push for justice, equity, and unity in our communities.

At Alpha Chapter, we recognize that freedom, service, and empowerment go hand in hand. Today, we celebrate the legacy, the culture, and the continued impact of Black voices across generations. 💙🦋

Today, we proudly celebrate Founder’s Day and honor the woman whose vision brought Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. to life.

On June 19, 2024, Founder Tamara Smith-Thomas established Theta Alpha Mu Military Sorority, Inc. with a mission rooted in Service, Trust, Reliability, and Transparency. Through her leadership, dedication, and commitment to creating a meaningful sisterhood for military women, a vision became an organization that continues to grow and make an impact.

Today, we recognize and thank Founder Tamara Smith-Thomas for her courage to build something lasting, her belief in the power of sisterhood, and her unwavering commitment to service.

As we celebrate this milestone, we also celebrate the legacy she began and the future we continue to build together.
