Stephen Conte (FCS Education, Class of 2027) has been named a recipient of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) Assembly of Higher Education Undergraduate Research Award. This competitive award was given to the two highest scores on the blind-reviewed abstracts for the 2026 Annual Conference. Stephen presented his research poster at the AAFCS 2026 Annual Conference on June 18-21 in Louisville, KY. Stephen's research project titled Exploring Family and Consumer Sciences and Career and Technical Education as Pathways to Career Sustainability: A Systematic Literature Review, was completed as part of an independent study with faculty advisor Dr. Micheal Rowley (Assistant Professor, Department of Family and Consumer Sciences).
