Our campus is also the location of our community acupuncture and herb clinic. We offer approved degree programs for the Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine. We also have a DAOM program in Classical Chinese Herbalism and Orthopedic Acupuncture, as well as certification programs and classes for Tui-Na medical massage, and Taiji (tai-chi) and qigong (chi-kung). Graduates of the Master of Science in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM) degree program are eligible to sit for the acupuncture licensure examination given by the California State Acupuncture Board, and sit for the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) exam.
Mission: The goal of the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences is to provide exceptional education in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and serve as an economical outlet for health care services through its clinic which is open to the public. Students in the graduate program will receive the skills and experience necessary to obtain licensure to become exceptional primary health care providers.

It’s #moxa season! #moxabustion #moxibustion is so integral to #ChineseMedicine that #acupuncture in Chinese literally says “needle moxa” (針灸). Dried, aged #mugwort is burned to get focused, intense heat deep into the body and its channels to expel cold, move blood, tonify #yang, and calm the spirit. In other contexts, it can be used to clear and purify spaces, and shield against evil and other contaminants.

This acupuncture point is called large intestine 4, or Hegu (also called Hukou, tiger’s mouth). Tenisha Dandridge graduated from Bastyr University in 2008 with a BS and MS in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine. She completed her doctorate in Acupuncture and Oriental medicine at Pacific College of Oriental medicine in 2018. @higherstateofblyss Buddha’s hand is a citrus fruit served around the new year and is symbolic for happiness, wealth, and longevity. In TCM it’s called “fo shou” and is a regulating Qi herb that moves stagnant liver Qi and awakens the spleen. Cutting some up to dry and use as medicine in the future. Hilary and Sara met while earning their master's degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences (ACCHS). They found themselves to be kindred spirits and became friends within the first few weeks of classes.

After years of study and practice together, they built a deep trust in each other's ability to effectively practice the medicine and created Heaven & Earth Integrative Chinese Medicine with the collaborative vision to create a wellness center that is committed to the care and improvement of human life in harmony with our communities and environment.

In addition to being ACCHS alumni, Sara is now also our Ethics teacher and a current student in our Doctoral program.
