George chapter is comprised of graduate and undergraduate students who work to serve the needs of all students, and Muslims in particular, on campus.

We send our condolences to Imam al-Hujjat (ajtfs) and all the believers on the passing of Syeda Masooma e Qom (as) 🥀

Imam Sadiq (as) has said: "A lady from my children, by the name of Fatima will be buried in Qum. Whoever visits her [shrine], will certainly be admitted to Heaven.”

May Allah (swt) allow us all to visit her and to learn from her obedience to the Imam (as) of her time, insha'Allah.

“Peace be upon al-Husayn the wronged and martyred.”

We send our deepest condolences to Imam Mahdi (ajtfs) and all the believers on the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (as). On this day of Arbaeen, we pray for all those are suffering from oppression and injustice. May Allah (swt) allow us to become their voice and stand up for them. Let us all pray for the hastening of the reappearance of our Imam (ajtfs) and may we be among the best of his followers and helpers.

We hope you are doing well and have had a great start to the school year insha'Allah! We would also like to extend our condolences to you during these days nearing Arba'een, the fortieth day after the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Husayn (a).

In the name of Imam Husayn (a), his companions, and his family, we will be holding this initiative where care packages will be assembled and distributed to those experiencing homelessness in the downtown area.

The eighth of Shawwal is remembered annually as the day the Baqi cemetery was demolished by the Wahhabi regime across the Muslim world. Here are some fast facts about the cemetery:

• WHAT & WHERE:
- Jannat al-Baqi, or the Al-Baqi cemetery, is a mass graveyard hosting up to 7000 graves in Madina, Saudi Arabia.

- This cemetery hosts numerous figures revered by Muslims, such as the Holy Prophet's (S) family members - Lady Amna (as), Sayyeda Fatima (as), Imam Hassan (as), Imam Zayn al-Abideen (as), and Imam Ja'far as-Sadiq (as), to name a few - and some of His (S) companions.

• WHY IT HAS RECEIVED ATTENTION:
- Although this site is important in terms of Islamic history and to the Muslims, it was completely demolished in 1925 under the rule of the Saudi king as visiting graves and shrines is deemed idolatry or even "shirk" in Wahhabi beliefs.

THE KUTUB AL-ARBA’A (the Four Books) OF AHADITH [2/2] 📚🤲🏼

These four books are compilations of ahadith and have been used by prominent Shia Ithna-Asheri (twelver Shia Muslims) and other Muslim scholars for educational purposes.

- We also hold the belief that any hadith can be questioned in terms of its authenticity and meaning; in other words, no book is absolutely 100% perfect. They can be questioned if something doesn’t make sense or if a healthy debate arises, things can be debated, etc.

The next two we have featured in this post are:

1. “Tahdhib al-Ahkam” [or “At-Tahdhib”], compiled by Shaykh Muhammad Tusi

• this book has 1,359 ahadith

2. “Al-Istibsar”, also compiled by Shaykh Muhammad Tusi

• this book has 5,511 ahadith
