All alumni of compassion training - we are delighted to welcome you to a community space in which we can gather and continue to learn, explore and practice together. This month we will focus on compassion in a context of arising hatred and brutality. So much of the past year has drawn our attention to racial injustice and racial and social inequalities, which take many forms in different geographies and cultures. We must be equally dedicated to awakening and re-awakening a global conversation about compassion in the face of these forms of suffering. Please add your voice to this important conversation. How To Decrease Back To College Anxiety: Just Breathe

"Universities teach you how to think critically and how to write...they don't teach you how to live. They don't teach you how to be happy, and isn't that part of education, to turn people into adults who know how to handle their life?” Our latest study covered in Forbes.

With college students returning to campuses with worsening mental health and not enough counselors to see them, alternative solutions are needed for support. One possible solution is a comprehensive program which includes deep breathing, at least according to two new promising studies.

Social Connection Boosts Health. Even When You’re Isolated.

"The most interesting data-driven fact about connection is that it has nothing to do with the number of friends you hang out with, connections on Facebook or the amount of community groups to which you belong. Even if you're isolated at home, you can feel connected to others - and reap the health benefits thereof." A compassion-generating meditation, Loving-Kindness Meditation, may be key.

We all know the basics of health 101: eat your veggies, go to the gym and get proper rest. But how many of us know that social connection is as important? Social connection improves physical health…

The Pain of Loneliness and 8 Ways to Ease It

Quarantine loneliness is a thing. but "Research shows that we reap the psychological well-being and physical health benefits of social connection not from the number of friends we have, but from our internal and subjective sense of connection towards others. In other words, we could have only 1 friend, or no friends at all, but if we feel connected from the inside, then we reap all the benefits thereof. This research finding is empowering because whatever starts from within is within our hands." Read on to see how compassion plays a role!

Loneliness hurts. Most of us have experienced this. Especially in this time of quarantine, many can feel lonely. With the advent of technology and social media and the ever-increasing speed of life…

Call for a NEW MEDICAL SYSTEM towards the whole word! Inspired by to the call that Shunsuke Funase and Richard Koshimizu spread in the public conference that you can watch here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Safin3AKSI We love to answer yes we are here and ready to renew the medical system: The new medical system must understand and emphasize the simple principle that the physical body is always regenerating and healing itself. In order to give value and support to this natural function it is necessary to not introduce poison in our body, it means that this function is directly connected with the only principle of not introducing any poison in our body but cultivating our sensitivity toward healthy and pleasant substances and habits. In that way we will be free from strict rules and theories, because we will be able to know what is good for us and when, as well as when it is not. This is the reason why the new medical system must avoid poisons, toxic drugs, including vaccine and violent interventions and replace all that with real medicine. We identified 6 fundamental pillars for living healthy and healing every condition: 1 - A light diet rich in fruits and vegetables ("Fruit and vegetable intake and cause-specific mortality in the EPIC study". Eur J Epidemiol. 2014 Sep ; TrueNorth Health) 2 - Have fun and smiling a lot (“Humour and love: the origination of clown therapy” by Patch adams) 3 - Gratitude, love and compassion (Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (Stanford U.) 4 - Resting 5 - Pleasant physical activity 6 - Contact with nature (Shinrin-Yoku.org Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) and Nature Therapy: A State-of-the-Art Review) Please if you are interested in collaborating in building the new medical system contact us or Dr. Elena Benigni or Dr. @Sara De Santis, THANKS!!
