Yesterday's AISES Powwow marked my 25th anniversary as the Co-Advisor of the UNCP AISES Student Chapter! This journey has provided so many opportunities,...my first flight, meeting high profile STEM people, becoming a lifetime member of AISES, & powwow planning & work. Getting to know our Native craftsman/vendors has been an awesome experience. It's a blessing to see these folks every year & now there are new faces. Most importantly, I have developed relationships with some wonderful, intelligent students. U guys made this opportunity exciting fun...Thanks ❤️ The students are what working at UNCP is all about for me.
There are people are need to thank for getting me involved with AISES. Glenn Sampson... My friend, u are no longer with us on earth, but I feel your spirit, especially at AISES events. Serena Oxendine Byrd ... Thanks for being my first flight partner 😬 & helping me learn the ropes. Dr. Velinda Locklear Woriax... U are the best working partner! Appreciate your faith in me.
