MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW to join the PAC at our September 12th Parliamentary Workshop entitled "That's Not Right: Correcting Mistakes in Meetings". This workshop will explore some of the most common mistakes made during meetings and how to correct them. Participants will learn what mistakes to look out for from members, the Chair, the assembly, and in committee meetings. Work-shoppers will leave feeling more confident in their ability to discern mistakes and feeling empowered to offer corrections using RONR. Registration opens via EventBrite on July 9th. The members of the Petersburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. were honored to participate in Relay For Life, standing in support of cancer survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and fighting for a future free from cancer.

Through the generosity of our members, supporters, family, and friends, we proudly raised more than $4,800 to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. Every dollar raised helps fund lifesaving research, patient services, advocacy efforts, and hope for those impacted by cancer.

Thank you to everyone who donated, walked, volunteered, and supported our efforts. Together, we continue to exemplify sisterhood, service, and a commitment to strengthening our community.

Happy Pride Month to our sorors, partners, and friends!

Delta Sigma Theta has always stood for love, inclusion, and respecting the full dignity of every person. While we remain anchored in that legacy, we also acknowledge the need to continue to evolve with intention by championing affirming policies, and forging a culture where every member is seen, valued, and protected.

This Pride Month, we honor and celebrate the beautiful diversity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community and reaffirm our commitment to being allies in the fight for a better future where the freedom to love and exist in one's authentic identity is not contingent on the political climate. Especially when that freedom is being challenged, we choose to show up louder, love harder, and stand firmer in our commitment to justice for all.

The annual PAC May Week Awards Celebration was phenomenal! We were truly inspired by the “Future Forward” charge from our soror – Dr. Tia Minnis, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Virginia State University! We celebrated 9 high school student recipients of The Guiding Star Leadership Award, 9 high school recipients of The Excellence in Community Service Award, 5 scholarship recipients and 8 community trailblazers!
