We are writing this to inform you that in light of recent events, the Ideas for Action Club at Penn is taking a stance. We would like to echo the words of President Gutmann, ‘The tragic and senseless death of George Floyd is a vivid reminder of the inequalities and unacceptable indignities that so many of our citizens constantly endure.’

Even if it’s just a conversation at home, or a click to sign the petition (https://www.change.org/p/mayor-jacob-frey-justice-for-george-floyd), we need to stand together to prove that humanity isn’t lost.

You can choose to stay silent or you can join the conversation.

Ideas for Action at Penn

Ideas for Action at Penn is a collaboration between the World Bank Group and the Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research at the Wharton School. The club at Penn consists of two branches: an Executive Committee in charge of hosting events and facilitating the annual Ideas for Action Competition, and an Accelerator that consults with previous winners of the Ideas for Action contest to help them bring their fledgling ideas to reality.

The Ideas for Action Competition attracts thousands of young applicants from across the globe with one central theme: sustainable development. The teams work together to come up with a unique idea that combines sustainable development and business.

This page is meant to serve as a public face for students at University of Pennsylvania, where the club is located. More information about the Ideas for Action generally or the competition is available on the main Ideas for Action page (https://www.facebook.com/ideas4action/) or on our website (https://www.ideas4action.org).
