It’s been a joy to welcome back some of our newest alumni this summer to help us with some summer events and prepare for another fantastic school year. We love that our graduates already want to come back to support their De Sales community! Special shoutout to this crew – Ky-Amor (class of 2023), Khadijah (2023), Annalena (2025), Sophia (2026), Melanie (2026), Ava (2026), Kourtney (2026), Sanii (2026), and Kingston (2026) – many of whom came right over from their Freshman Academy at Bonner Prendi to lend a helping hand!

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our many alumni who shined from the stage at Play on Philly’s 15th Anniversary Evening of Harmony Concert last week: Ellis Holloman (2022), Zebadiah Coombs (2012), Gabrielle Bioteau (2015), Christina Rooks (2015), Khadijah Adams (2023), Ky-Amor Adams (2023), Katia Campos (2022), Cassia Campos (2022), Yuri Campos (2025), Madison Collins (2024), Sadia Shariff (2025), and Isaiah Richardson (2018). In addition to these spectacular alumni, 42 current De Sales students joined their fellow Lions on stage for a performance that was captivating and spectacular. The impact that the POP program has and will continue to have on De Sales students and graduates is immeasurable. We are honored to be the flagship site for this program and look forward to 15 more years of partnership to come!

Our second annual all-class Alumni Reunion was a wonderful success! Graduates from over 18 different classes gathered in perfect weather on Saturday morning for mass followed by a luncheon in our beautiful auditorium. These moments of fellowship and friendship are so special, and we are deeply grateful for our alumni community, who are the very soul of the De Sales legacy. God bless our wonderful alumni!

The '𝙂𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨' is one of the new pillars of the De Sales Alumni Program. It's purpose is two-fold: to shine a spotlight on the accomplishments of our alumni, and to get current students thinking about their futures in a fun, low-pressure environment. We finished out the series last month with two wonderful presentations. First, the annual '𝙃𝙞𝙜𝙝 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙥' 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥, featuring a panel of recently graduated students and EmCeed by Mr. Andrew Brady of West Catholic (𝙝𝙪𝙜𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙀𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙨 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙣 ['22], 𝙄𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙢𝙖 𝙎𝙚𝙣𝙚 ['23], 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙚 𝙁𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙚 ['22], 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙖𝙮𝙡𝙚𝙣 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠𝙚𝙧 ['23]).

Second, a new collaboration with 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙨, a 4th-generation family-owned company right here in West Philly. 7th and 8th grade students learned all about metal fabrication, project management, and the opportunities and stability a career in the trades can offer. We love exposing our students to all the options available to them and empowering them along the way to reach their full potential, no matter what path they choose!
