Convocation marked the beginning of the academic journey for our newest students. Here’s to an unforgettable journey ahead for the Class of 2030, our largest incoming class ever, as they begin building their own legacy.

To inspire our newest class, keynote speaker and alumnus Joe Forkin ’95, President and CEO of the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation, said it best:

“In a pretty short span of time, Holy Family went from a place I drove to for class to my school. It became the place where I belonged and spent time with my friends. Make sure it does that for you, too.”

Campus Construction Update 🚧

Progress continues across campus as we advance key infrastructure projects designed to enhance our facilities and support our growing university community.

At the Holy Family Hall Welcome Center site, major structural milestones are underway. Steel decking and basement steel er****on are complete, and new HVAC ductwork and piping are actively being installed throughout classrooms and offices. Concrete work is progressing smoothly, with a new slab deck pour scheduled soon for the multipurpose room. Looking ahead, we are about 4 weeks out from the steel going up on the other side for Holy Family Hall.

At Newtown West, the Biotech project is rapidly taking shape. Interior wall framing is now 80% complete, drywall installation is well underway, and new roofing, ductwork, and gas lines are moving forward toward a target late-fall turnover. Nearby in the Newtown West Courtyard, site enhancements continue to move forward, highlighted by the recent installation of new flagpoles.

Holy Family University is pleased to announce the appointment of Eileen Burke Heddy, Ed.D., as the new Dean of the School of Education.

Dr. Heddy brings a distinguished background spanning K–12 experience, higher education leadership, and deep expertise in teacher preparation. Across her 25-year tenure at The College of New Jersey, she demonstrated exceptional leadership in curriculum development, clinical placements, school district partnerships, and global student teaching—qualities that will be instrumental in preparing our educators for a changing landscape.

Guided by a passion for “empowering the next generation of educators to transform lives and create a more just world,” Dr. Heddy’s collaborative leadership style and vision for innovation will be a tremendous asset to our programs.
