Meet Angelina Taylor ’27, a Business Management-Marketing major who turned her transfer journey into a story of career clarity and personal growth. Angelina chose Holy Family University after looking for a fresh academic direction and a community that prioritizes hands-on field experience. Guided by impactful courses like Consumer Behavior and dedicated faculty such as Professors Sergi and Amato, Angelina transformed her initial transition into a boost of professional confidence, discovering both the practical skills and the value of patience needed to launch her career.

Reflecting on what made Holy Family the right fit, she shares: “When I decided to transfer, I was also looking to change my major. My best friend, who also attends Holy Family, talked a lot about how the university helps students choose majors, gain field experience, and find jobs after graduation. That combination made Holy Family feel like the right choice for me.”

A huge thank you to world kickboxing champion Gloria Peritore and The Shadow Project for spending time with our campus community today.

Gloria shared her inspiring story and demonstrated how sports can serve as a powerful catalyst for gender equality, empowerment, and the prevention of physical and psychological violence. Our students not only gained valuable insights on resilience and advocacy, they also participated in a hands-on workshop to learn practical self-defense and movement techniques. Thank you, Gloria and our CAPE Office for empowering our students and leading such a meaningful session! 🥊💙🤍

What does it take to be a University President?
Holy Family University President Anne Prisco, Ph.D. reflects on a memorable moment in the dining hall during student orientation. When a student remarked, "Everybody reports to you. You’re the boss of everybody," Dr. Prisco offered a different perspective on leadership: "I actually think of it the other way around: I’m responsible to all of you."

Likening a university to an orchestra, Dr. Prisco illustrates how each department brings an essential sound to the collective effort, with the president acting as the conductor—listening, tuning up, and directing the entire institution in concert. By offering a candid look into the true responsibilities of higher education, she emphasizes the importance of preparing and empowering the next generation of academic leaders.
