The results are in (or at least some of them). Delval finished in 5th Place in Group Judging and as the 5th Place Overall Team and qualified for the 2027 National Soil Judging Contest in Fort Collins, Colorado!

Many thanks to the University of Maryland for hosting; the 11 Aggies attended learned quite a bit about Inner Coastal Plain soils and had a great time!

No rain today, but wet soils in the morning for day 2 of practice pits.

Day 1 of the NE Regional Soil Judging Contest. 11 intrepid Aggies are learning about soils in Charles and Prince George’s Counties.

Now, we are awaiting the Taco Bar and Coaches’ Meeting.

The results are in! The Aggies placed 21 out of 29 schools and finished 11th in Group Judging. Grace Lettero finished 33rd in the Individual Competition, the highest for a DVU student since 2016.

Eleven students had an unforgettable experience in learning about soils and land-use in the Greater Raleigh region.

Congratulations to Virginia Tech for finishing 1st and the University of Maryland for finishing 3rd, the highest placement from our region.

This display was at the Individual Contest location, the Official Toast for North Carolina. Thanks to Matt Ricker and the group of staff and volunteers at NC State for hosting a great week!
