Teaching, talking, and getting the students involved along the way! 👏🏾📓 We love creating spaces where students can ask questions, learn something new, and get excited about HBCUs 🩵

We LOVE the energy! 😂🩵 Learning about HBCUs should feel interactive, exciting, and worth exploring!

Our interactive HBCU table is just one of the experiences we bring with us when HBCU Bound exhibits at schools, churches, community events, college fairs, and more. It gives students and families a chance to explore, ask questions, learn something new, and connect with HBCU culture in a hands-on way.

Want this experience in your space? Bring HBCU Bound to your community today! 📓

📩 Contact us to talk about how we can shape the experience around your event and your audience.

HAPPY JUNETEENTH! 🤍❤️💙

Y’all know we couldn’t let Juneteenth come around without showing some love to our HBCUs! 🎓

From the first HBCU to the newest graduates walking across the stage, these schools have been changing lives, building leaders, and creating community for generations.

We’re honored to celebrate that legacy this weekend at the Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade! 🎉

If you’re not walking with us, make sure you tune in and watch HBCU Bound on 6ABC starting at 12 PM. Wave if you see us, cheer loud, and help us show the city what HBCU energy feels like!

See y’all Sunday✨

WE OUTSIDEEEEE, FOR THE COMMUNITY!! 🎉✊🏾

This year, HBCU Bound is turning our participation in the Annual Philadelphia Juneteenth Parade into a Community Service & Physical Health Initiative.

We’re looking for volunteers to walk through West Philly while handing out educational resources and giveaways to the community. Bring your bike, skates, rollerblades, jump rope, or just yourself. We’re making this a walking block party! 🚲🛼🎶

Volunteers receive:
✅ Free HBCU Bound T-Shirt
✅ Community Service Hours
✅ Water & Refreshments
✅ Live DJ Experience
✅ Live Broadcast Experience
✅ A chance to serve the community while celebrating Juneteenth

And when the walk is over, stick around and enjoy the Juneteenth Festival at Malcolm X Park with vendors, music, food, and more.

The parade takes place on Father’s Day 6/21 and is expected to conclude no later than 2 PM.
If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, support the community, and have a good time doing it, this is it.

Connecting with students, engaging with schools, and meeting organizations providing real resources made this experience so meaningful. This is what HBCU Bound was created for. 🩵

A special thank you to Dr. Kevin Cosby () and Simmons College of Kentucky () for the support!!📓✨

Dr. Cosby is the first HBCU president to shout out The HBCU Encyclopedia and we’re honored to have Simmons lead the way.

Located in Louisville, Kentucky and founded in 1879, Simmons College is a private Christian liberal arts HBCU with a historic mission of educating and uplifting Black scholars and leaders and currently focuses on academic accessibility through an open enrollment process.

Simmons folks, tap in! Show your school some love in the comments ❤️

And to the presidents of the other HBCUs featured in the book… who’s next? 👀
