A taste of tradition. A table full of brothers. A sweet new year.

AEPi and Esponda Associates have teamed up with our partners at Gill Grilling to introduce Taste of Traditions, a Jewish food calendar bringing meaningful holiday meals to participating chapter houses. Last night’s Rosh Hashanah themed dinners were a great way to kick off the holiday!

It’s more than what’s on the menu. It’s about celebrating our traditions, strengthening our brotherhood and inspiring the next generation of Jewish community leaders.

To all of our brothers, families and friends: Shana Tova! May the new year bring health, happiness, peace and sweetness -- and many opportunities to gather around the table together.

L’Shana Tova to our brothers, families and friends! Wishing you a sweet new year filled with health, happiness, and peace. We enter this new year on a day where we also look back on the unspeakable horrors of 25 years ago and we continue to ask ourselves why this happened and how. And, we also continue to ask ourselves how we move forward, in the face of hate.

In his latest Rob’s Report, AEPi CEO Rob Derdiger reminds us that tikkun olam -- repairing the world -- is more than an ideal. It is a responsibility we fulfill through our time, our choices, and our service to others. Building our communities strengthens all of us.

As we welcome 5787, read Rob’s message and join AEPi to commit to doing more than wishing for a better world. Let’s help build it.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

AEPi honors the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the families forever changed, and the courage of those who rushed toward danger to help others.

Five years ago, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of that awful day, we shared the reflections of New York University brothers. Their memories of that day and its aftermath reveal the fear they carried, the comfort they found in one another, and their determination to help their community. Today, we share their story again, because the responsibility to remember does not diminish with time.

We hold close the memories of our brothers Frank Morton, Brett Freiman, Steven Goldstein, Joshua Rosenblum, Richard Ross and Andrew Zucker, whose lives were taken that day.

The Torah teaches that the memory of the righteous is a blessing. May the memories of all who lost their lives continue to be a blessing for their families and friends, and may we honor them through compassion, service, and care for one another.

Happy birthday to our Supreme Master (International President), Brother Adam Cohen (Georgia, 2006)!

Adam, thank you for leading with heart, giving back to our brotherhood and inspiring the next generation of Jewish community leaders. Your dedication reminds us that AEPi isn’t just for our college years, it’s for a lifetime.

Wishing you a year filled with health, happiness and wonderful moments with family, friends, and brothers. L’chaim, Brother!

An Israeli construction worker fell more than 30 feet. The emergency vehicle that helped bring lifesaving care to his side? Made possible by AEPi brothers.

Recently, United Hatzalah responders raced to a serious workplace accident, where they helped stabilize a 35-year-old man. They responded in the AEPi-funded Minilance Plus pictured here; a vehicle on the road today because our undergraduate brothers stepped up to make a difference.

In 2024, AEPi brothers across North America raised funds for United Hatzalah, whose volunteers provide fast, free emergency medical care across Israel. But the impact of their generosity cannot be measured in dollars alone. It is measured in the help those dollars make possible when someone’s world changes in an instant.

As we approach the Days of Awe, we reflect on our responsibilities to one another and also on what it means to turn our Jewish values into action. Tikkun Olam is more than an ideal. It is a call to act, to give and to help repair a world that needs us.

AEPi’s mission is to develop the next generation of Jewish community leaders. Our brothers remind us that this leadership does not have to wait until graduation. It is already reaching far beyond our campuses, strengthening our communities and helping save lives in Israel.

This is brotherhood with purpose. This is AEPi.

Cheers to brotherhood and to building your dream!

This week’s Friday PiDay features Brother Drew Lewis (James Madison, 2015), founder of Cheers, Drew, an online menswear business that combines premium clothing, personal shopping and the kind of genuine, relationship-driven service that no algorithm can replace.

From leading his chapter’s philanthropy efforts to launching a company of his own, Drew’s story shows how the responsibility, leadership and lifelong relationships developed through AEPi continue to shape our brothers long after graduation.

Read this week’s Friday PiDay and learn how Drew turned a childhood passion into his dream business and why gratitude remains at the heart of everything he does (Also, check out the special AEPi discount code that Drew has provided for AEPi brothers, families and friends at the end of the article): https://bit.ly/4dk2ftn

Or, as Drew would put it: Cheers.
