Ranked #8!

Based on the US News & World Report’s 2024 ranking of Best Physical Therapy Programs - US News Rankings that was released yesterday, the University of Pittsburgh Doctor of Physical Therapy program continues to be highly ranked, tied at 8th with Creighton and Ohio State University. Of note, we are one of only two programs ranked among the top ten with a hybrid option for a DPT degree. As one of the oldest physical therapy education programs in the nation, we are encouraged to be continually ranked among the top ten programs in the country.

Since the prior ranking in 2020, we have made numerous changes to the DPT program over the last few years that have increased the diversity in the student body and enhanced the value and accessibility of a Pitt PT degree that has included shortening the program to cut down on the cost of attendance and offering a hybrid option. The faculty are proud of your achievements and accomplishments as students. Upon graduation and entry into practice, we look forward to the impact that you will have on the function and health of the patients that you will care for as well as in the communities in which you live and society.
