Let's meet some of the sisters of Sigma Alpha! Here is Hailey!

Major: Agriculture Education Minor in animal sciences

Year in school: Sophmore

Why did you join Sigma? I joined Sigma Alpha because once I got out of high school I wanted to find a club that would better me for the workforce and find girls that share the same passion for agriculture that I do. I got to meet tons of new people around campus and now I have a tight group of girls I can lean on for help whether that’s school or personally.

Favorite memory?
My favorite memory so far in sigma has to be the activation week event last semester where we dressed up like our type and the girls and I got to laugh so hard and helped us break out of our comfort zone and get silly!

Why did you join Sigma Alpha: Sigma Alpha gave me the chance to network around the agriculture industry, work on my professional skills, and meet a great group of dedicated women here at UW-Platteville.

Favorite memory: Accidentally driving the wrong way on a one-way street in Madison with alumni Sydney Kaluzny. Roads are confusing!

Why you joined Sigma: I joined Sigma to not only make friends, but to help me further my professional development and leadership within the Agricultural industry. I was in FFA in high school and when I came to UWP, Sigma Alpha really helped to fill that organization gap that I was seeking.

For those of you interested in learning more about Sigma Alpha at UW-Platteville and what we have to offer, here is our official recruitment schedule for the Fall '24 semester!

You need to attend 3 events to receive an invite to interview with us and move forward in the semester with Sigma Alpha. (don't worry..."interview" sounds way scarier than it is. It's not like interviewing for a job, we just want to get to know you and why you want to join Sigma Alpha! Your interview is your first step in becoming an official sister!)
