We enjoyed welcoming this group of Harrisburg High School students to campus on Monday! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

They came to see our welding program in action, and as a bonus, they toured the entire Hard Tech program and visited the Bridge.

Thanks for visiting! We hope to see them again in the future, hopefully as Black Hawks! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The BRTC Foundation is proud to announce the Emilia "Emmy" Lambert Memorial Scholarship, created by Laureate Beta Alpha, a chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, in memory of longtime member Emmy Lambert. The $500 scholarship, split between fall and spring, will support a non-traditional female student pursuing Nutrition and Dietetics at BRTC.

Emmy was a Pocahontas volunteer, substitute teacher, gifted cook and baker, artist, and above all, a devoted mother and grandmother. Her legacy will help women starting a new chapter later in life or while balancing work and family.

Michelle, Mary, and Erin had a great time meeting everyone at the Greene County Veterans Resource Fair on Saturday!

The trio was there to meet veterans and their families and talk about educational benefits and skill-building opportunities. The fair also connected attendees with resources for employment assistance, health and wellness, education and training, and family support, all in one place.

If you or a veteran in your life has questions about education benefits at BRTC, we'd love to help!

A group of BRTC staff recently attended the Arkansas Deans Association Annual Meeting at Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, a professional development opportunity for academic deans across the state.

Representing BRTC were Dr. Brad Baine, VP of Academic Affairs; Phillip Dickson, Dean of Business and Technology; Darenda Kersey, Dean of General Studies; Jason Linam, Dean of Nursing and Allied Health; and Beth Davis, Director of Career, Technical, and Concurrent Education.

This year's theme focused on leadership, with Dr. Charles Welch as keynote presenter. Kersey shared her takeaway: "It was eye-opening to hear from individuals who, like me, did not necessarily begin their careers with the goal of moving into higher education administration but eventually found themselves serving in leadership roles."

BRTC's participation reflects our ongoing commitment to leadership development across Arkansas's higher education community ๐Ÿ’™
