Boston University Kendo Association Boston University Kendo Association (BUKA) is BU's highly competitive collegiate kendo club. We welcome anyone who wishes to participate.

Kendo is the martial art of Japanese fencing which originates from the feudal samurai culture of ancient Japan. The Boston University Kendo Association accommodates all levels of Kendo- from intense advanced practices to introducing Kendo to newcomers. Our club sends teams and individuals to compete in Cornell University’s Annual Kendo Tournament in the fall as well as Harvard’s Shoryuhai Kendo T

ournament in the spring and holds regular practices three times a week. Weekends from 10am-1pm at Boston University’s Fitness and Recreation Center and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm at the SAC Gym.
