Amira has proudly resided in Rancho Cucamonga since 1997 with her husband, Ehab, and daughters, Radwa (RCHS'16) and Sara (Ruth Musser MS), and beloved family mascot, Charlie the cocker spaniel. Amira earned her MS in Leadership and Management from the University of La Verne in 2015 and has worked as a Consumer Service Coordinator at Inland Regional Center, San Bernardino, since 2013. She actively
assists families in need of resources for their children with special needs. Prior to her position at IRC, Amira was a behavior interventionist at Autism Spectrum Therapies before being promoted to Regional Manager. In addition to her commitment as a mother and consumer service coordinator, Amira teamed with the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department and founded popsicles with police in 2015. This program piloted at local elementary schools within Etiwanda School District. RCPD resource officers visit fourth grade classrooms and speak with students about significant community matters including the importance of continuing education beyond high school. "We plan to continue this program in the 2016-2017 school year, and aspire to lunch similar programs through the entire state of California." Amira has further served the local community as Cite Council Member at Ruth Musser Middle School (2014-2016), member of Kiwanis Rancho Cucamonga since 2015, and member of Euclid Management Board (2006-2011). As a City Council member, Amira's goal include reducing homelessness by accessing and offering readily available human and financial resources. She seeks to improve education and vocational opportunities in effort to support schools in reducing truancy and increasing graduation rates. Also, one of Amira's priorities is encouraging, maintaining, and promoting small businesses. She believes that our local government must be a strong proponent of small business and provide encouraging opportunities for start-up and growth. Today, Amira wants to serve as your voice on the Rancho Cucamonga City Council. A voice that echoes your concerns. A voice that matters. A voice that cares.
