Hannah Davis lost her father in a Black Hawk accident when she was only three years old. His distinguished military career and drive to succeed has influenced her entire life. Hannah recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Michigan State University. Ryan Lee Gehris is ‘Pedaling for Pattie’ and in honor of all the children of fallen patriots. His mom, Pattie Stein, lost her dad when she was just 14 years old. He was killed while serving in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. As a young boy, Ryan grew up hearing stories about his grandfather, Leon ‘Lee’ Charles Stein. Ever since, he’s been an advocate for Gold Star families.

The PepsiCo #RollingRemembrance campaign has officially begun! The 8,000+ mile long relay benefits the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation. Using normal business routes, PepsiCo's extensive network of U.S. Military Veteran drivers will pass off an #American flag to each other at different relay points from Seattle to New York.
The flag was on a UH-60M Blackhawk Helicopter on a combat mission in support of U.S. and Coalition ground forces in the Kandahar Province of Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom in 2012
Asher Patton (pictured here with his mother Carla) has something in common with approximately 20,000 other children. They have all lost an active duty parent in the military. David C. Canegata III died when his Black Hawk Helicopter crashed from enemy fire during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His daughter Nicole's life has never been the same since she lost her father on January 20th, 2007. #FallenFriday

David Alexander served in the Marines and sadly passed away before his son, Tom, was born. Despite having never met his father, Tom is determined to make his dad proud. Seth never had the opportunity to meet his father, 1st Lt. Robert Straw. However, whenever Seth is facing a tough class, studying for a test, or begins to think his degree is too hard he always feels that his dad is right there pushing him on. “My father’s life inspires me to always work hard, always do my best and to do what I want with my life.” #TBT

Colleen O’Hare’s husband, Raymond died in a training accident while serving in 2000. He left behind Colleen and their three children, the youngest was only 10 months old. After he passed, she wasn’t sure how she would be able to fulfill the dreams of her husband and pay for all three of her children to attend college. She enrolled her children in the Fallen Patriots scholarship program and is now able to send all three of them to college.

Rachel's father, Christopher Splinter, was killed in action while deployed in Iraq. She knows he would have been proud of her for achieving her bachelor’s degree and for working towards her master's. Rachel currently is attending Allen College to receive a master’s in occupational therapy. After which, she plans to work at a VA hospital assisting disabled veterans in their healing process as they work towards becoming more independent. #WCW

Paula's husband, Master Sergeant Michael McNulty, served over 18 years in the U.S. Army before losing his life on June 17, 2005 during a raid on a house in Al Qaim, Iraq leaving behind Paula, and their four children. “Mike died defending our country and protecting his family. Although it will always be hard for us and he will always be in our hearts,” Paula explained. “I am proud to say my husband made the ultimate sacrifice for our family and nation to help make a better life for all.” Fallen Patriots aided each of Paula’s children with the transition into college and continued support over the course of their college career. Leading up to this #GoldStarWives day we are honoring the sacrifices of Paula and her family.
Seth Straw knew he wanted to go to Auburn University from the second he first walked onto its campus and chanted “War Eagle!” in Jordan-Hare Stadium.
