Today the VT-IPG Richmond Team is at Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation (VCBR)!

Frontline staff, team leaders and new managers across VCBR are finishing the Leadership and Management Pathways Program (LAMPP) training where they’ve discussed challenges to effective management, while gaining tools and strategies for impactful leadership that better serve their residents.

It’s been a F.U.L.L. week at VT-IPG Richmond!

Virginia Public Sector Leaders (VPSL) I participants from Virginia Dept. of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) showed up every day ready to:
✔ Face challenges and opportunities,
✔ Understand leadership concepts, and
✔ Learn to deploy tools needed to
✔ Lead with efficiency and effectiveness!

We applaud the engagement demonstrated during this session, and excited to see how these leaders continue making an impact within DBHDS and in the communities they serve across the Commonwealth!

Participants in Virginia Public Sector Leader (VPSL) Level I stepped outside their comfort zones by strengthening team‑building skills and practicing how to engage with difficult questions—the kind leaders face every day in public service.
Through collaboration, reflection, and honest dialogue, this cohort is learning how to build trust, listen deeply, and lead conversations that matter. These are the skills that turn groups into teams and challenges into opportunities.
