Greetings!

On behalf of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, I invite you to apply for the St. Jude National Undergraduate Research Symposium to be held June 12-15, 2019 at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This competitive academic and professional development event allows undergraduate students from U.S. institutions to present their own work in addition to learning about the cutting-edge research and facilities at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The goals of the symposium are to feature research from top young scientists, to showcase St. Jude as a premier research institution, and to promote recruitment of top undergraduate and postbac students for the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Participants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and currently juniors, seniors, or postbac students interested in attending graduate school, but have not have committed elsewhere. Symposium-related expenses (airfare, transfers, lodging, meals, planned activities) for selected students will be covered by the Graduate School.

Included in your electronic application will be your CV, abstract, headshot, unofficial transcript, and research advisor statement of support (please have your mentor complete and upload the attached form – they will be prompted for the letter once you submit your application). Your application must be submitted here by Monday, April 15, 2019. Selected students will be notified of their acceptance at the end of April. Let me know if you have any questions about the application process.

As you prepare your application, I encourage you to contact us with any questions at [email protected]. Applications are due April 15!

Best regards,

~Racquel
