Zetas of Rocky Mount, NC, Epsilon Gamma Zeta Chapter Since its charter in April 1954, the Epsilon Gamma Zeta chapter has continued to grow and become a recognized contributor to Rocky Mount and surrounding areas.

Our charter members (Sorors Alice Bailey, Sarah Dorsey, Ella Miller, Jocile Brown, Pansie Pannell, Dorothy Gilliam, and Martha Stith) had a vision for our graduate chapter to always be an active integral force in Rocky Mount by applying the founding principles of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood).

As Pride Month begins, we proudly uplift the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community and reaffirm our support for equality, dignity, and love for all. We believe everyone has the right to love who they love, every day of the year.

This reminds us that love knows no boundaries. It calls us to honor every individual’s right to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Since 1920, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has been committed to addressing the pressing issues of each era. For more than 106 years, we have stood as a voice for the underserved and a champion for marginalized communities.

Each year, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated reaffirms its unwavering commitment to eradicating sexual and domestic violence while standing in solidarity with survivors.
Why Denim?👖In 1992, the Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e conviction, arguing that because the victim’s jeans were tight, she must have helped remove them — falsely equating this as consent. This injustice sparked a global movement, reminding us that there is never an excuse, nor an invitation for sexual violence.
Sexual and domestic violence know no boundaries, affecting individuals from all walks of life. As sisters, we must shatter the silence, raise awareness, and empower survivors on their journey to healing.
💙 Let’s send a clear message: Abuse has no place in our communities. Join us in wearing your denim and pearls to raise awareness, and post your selfies while tagging us! Together, we can make a difference.
