Yesterday (Tuesday, June 22) we welcomed prospective students from the 2021 high school graduation class to recognize their hard work, honor their determination and celebrate their success. Guests were greeted to free food, rides and games as well as a chance to win an SVSU scholarship and gift cards from an assortment of businesses. Not even a brief delay due to strong thunderstorms could derail the excitement and energy of this day. Lots of smiles, laughs, introductions and plenty of Red Pride. The Saginaw Valley State University Transfer Team will be hosting a virtual Zoom presentation called “Transferring 101: How to Plan Your Transfer” on the following dates:

As our new members left Wickes Stadium following Friday’s historic ceremonies, we asked them how it felt to celebrate their success after years of studying and months of rising above the challenges presented by the pandemic.
