Well we are at the end of the semester everyone and I hope you all did not get to stressed out. If you did or feel that you are stress week is coming up, so use it to your advantage and don't let life stress you out and bring you down. Also, we will not be meeting the rest of this semester, we will resume in Janurary for spring semester.

Can't make it to our club meetings? Check out the "Discussions" link on the top left of our page. Here's your opportunity to participate in club dialogue even if your unable to attend our weekly meetings.

Veterans Day is soon approaching, find a vet and thank them for their sacrifice and always remember they struggle with pain too. PTSD is real and in affects everyone, the problem is that they don't come forward to address it and self medicate with alcohol and drugs. Freedom is not free and lets help our vets to feel that they have a home and that there is help.

"Life is meant to be a celebration! It shouldn't be necessary to set aside special times to remind us of this fact. Wise is the person who finds a reason to make every day a special one."
Overcoming Addiction Quote by Leo F. Buscaglia (March 1924 - June 1998)

The CDCSA would like to officially thank Donald Williams for the brand new logo! And thank Paul Gruber for last years logo. If you would like to be a part of the CDCSA please join us for our next meeting on November 9th at 4:15 pm SC 201.

For those that may be interested, Wor-Wic Community College is taking part in the Relay for Life event this starting this Friday night (9/30) at 8 p.m. at Perdue Stadium. The event will conclude Saturday morning (10/1) at 8 a.m. For those unfamiliar with this event, it is an opportunity to honor those that have passed away due to cancer and recognize those survivors that are still with us. Considering that Dr. Hargis passed away after a battle with cancer, this would be a great event for some of our CDC students to honor her memory. People are needed to walk around the stadium and do "laps" from 8 p.m. - 8 a.m., especially during the early morning hours. If you are interested in helping out, please e-mail me at [email protected] or stop by my office at SC 213. I hope you can make it out!

Today an amazing lady known by many students, teachers, professors, and administrators as a caring educator, counselor, and friend who always put others first passed away. Rest in Peace Dr. Cynthia Hargis. You will be greatly missed.
