The program fosters close individual contact between students and faculty and brings together talented students with many varied interests. Honors courses and activities are intended to enhance other educational opportunities available to Salisbury University students. Membership in the Honors Program comes with many benefits, including priority registration, small discussion-based courses created specifically for Honors students and access to the Honors Center, which houses a computer lab with printer, a kitchen, and plenty of space for study and recreation.

Students in the Honors College are doing some amazing things, but they need some help. We are starting two specific fundraising efforts:
1) Support for student travel to the annual Northeast Regional Honors Council conference, where top students present their research. We have 26 students attending this April, nearly double the number from previous years. They need support to pay for hotel rooms, transportation, and conference registration fees.
2) Support for students to attend a performance or visit a museum during our annual trip to New York City. The Honors College finances travel for a day-long trip to the Big Apple, but students are left to pay for their own tickets to museums, art exhibits, and broadway plays and musicals. Your support would help students who could not afford tickets to attend a play, musical, or museum.
Whether you give $10, $100, or more, your contribution will make a difference in the lives of SU students.

On behalf of students and staff in the Honors College, Dr. Buss accepted the Import Award from the We Heart SBY organization his evening. It's through their passion for community engagement and dedication and their service to the city of Salisbury that Dr. Buss was able to accept this award. Thank you to all of the students and staff that made this possible. Leanne Wood and Lauren Rachel Hill have been crucial in making these efforts successful. Please thank them on behalf of SU and the Honors College.
