The KBHI and AI Center of Excellence recently accompanied our AI Bootcamp students to Google Headquarters in Austin, where they showcased innovative projects supporting both campus and community partners.
The students did an outstanding job. Google was impressed, and we couldn't be prouder. Opportunities like this help students build real-world experience, strengthen soft skills, and expand their professional networks.
We're grateful for our partnership with Google and excited to share more soon!

Dr. Scarlet Clouse, Director of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Institute, recently shared on The Presidents Podcast the vision of the AI Center of Excellence and why responsible AI use matters.

The message is simple but powerful: Identify. Verify. Disclose. As we leverage AI, we must understand when and how it is being used, verify the information it produces, and be transparent about its use.

What a great start to our Fall AI Workshop Series!

The AI Center of Excellence welcomed faculty and staff for the first AI Foundations sessions, where participants explored the building blocks of artificial intelligence, generative AI, and prompt design. The sessions emphasized a key message: AI is a powerful tool, but people remain at the center of every decision.

Thank you to Shelley Chandler from Phygital Labs for delivering an engaging, interactive experience that sparked curiosity, conversation, and practical learning.

We look forward to continuing the journey as we help our campus community build AI knowledge and confidence throughout the semester.
